Welcome to the 6th Life and Environmental Sciences Academics Forum (LEAF) 2026
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 6th Life and Environmental Sciences Academics Forum (LEAF) 2026, which will be held on 8–9 July 2026 at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), Depok, Indonesia. Building upon the success of the previous LEAF conferences, FMIPA UI proudly continues this international forum as a platform for advancing interdisciplinary scientific collaboration and innovation in life and environmental sciences.
Since its establishment in 2017, the LEAF conference series has consistently brought together academics, researchers, scientists, professionals, and students from diverse scientific backgrounds to exchange knowledge, share research findings, and strengthen collaborative networks. Over the years, LEAF has evolved into a dynamic scientific forum addressing contemporary global challenges related to environmental sustainability, human health, and technological innovation. Through previous conferences, LEAF has facilitated meaningful discussions and collaborations among participants from universities, research institutions, industries, and governmental organizations, both nationally and internationally.
In recent decades, the world has faced increasingly complex environmental and health challenges, including climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, pollution, emerging diseases, resource scarcity, and the growing impact of human activities on ecosystems. Rapid technological development and industrialization have also created new opportunities and challenges in achieving sustainable development goals. These issues require integrated scientific approaches, innovative technologies, and collaborative solutions that involve multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
Recognizing the urgency of these global concerns, the theme of LEAF 2026 is “Emerging Scientific Innovations and Technologies for Sustainable Environment and Health.”
This theme highlights the important role of scientific advancement and technological innovation in supporting environmental sustainability, improving public health, and enhancing human well-being. LEAF 2026 aims to provide an inclusive and inspiring platform for discussing recent developments, innovative research, and practical applications that contribute to sustainable environmental management and healthier societies.
The conference will provide opportunities for participants to present their latest research, exchange ideas, foster interdisciplinary discussions, and establish future collaborations. Researchers and practitioners are encouraged to explore innovative solutions and transformative technologies that can address current and future environmental and health-related challenges.
LEAF 2026 warmly welcomes researchers, lecturers, students, policymakers, industry representatives, and professionals from around the world to participate in this scientific gathering. We hope this conference will provide valuable academic experiences, stimulate impactful discussions, and strengthen international collaboration toward a more sustainable and healthier future.
